AVALANCHE RESCUE - EVERY SECOND CAN SAVE LIVES!

In an avalanche accident, seconds often decide why the RESYST project is so important to us. MICADO is currently developing an innovative unique avalanche steam probe to improve the life-saving work of mountain rescuers. This specially developed probe penetrates the avalanche cone much faster thanks to the heatable steam tip and can reach a depth of twelve meters. In future, this will make the rescue of avalanche victims even more efficient and quicker. The switchable steam output offers the advantage that free spaces can be created both horizontally and vertically. In addition, a camera and an avalanche transceiver antenna - which is specially designed to locate avalanche transceivers on buried subjects - will be integrated into the probe.

The project is developed in collaboration with Dolomiticert and the South Tyrolean Mountain Rescue Service.
