ATOMIC produces ski-cores on robot systems from MICADO:

Since December 2017 ATOMIC has been manufacturing its ski-cores at its headquarters in Salzburg/Altenmarkt using 6 robot systems from MICADO.  

 

ATOMIC contacted last year the East Tyrolean mechatronics company MICADO to optimize its existing production process of ski-cores and to further increase the quality in the production. A concept for a robot system was developed on which more than 400 different ski-cores can be milled fully automatically. This concept was able to convince and ATOMIC has ordered six such systems from MICADO. The robots support the production staff and load the 5-axis milling machines fully automatically and with high precision. After loading, the system works off 80 pairs of skis independently within 8 hours. Thanks to this innovative production principle, ATOMIC was able to significantly increase its production figures for the winter season 2017/2018.
