A new holding fixture device to clamp 2 turbine components:

A completely new holding fixture concept is used to clamp two different A330neo Fan Cowl components during milling and drilling.

Instead of two individual holding fixtures, MICADO has developed a hybrid solution that can clamp both components on one common fixture. The basic idea is the use of two-sided or multi-sided vacuum holding plates. The holding plates are rotated to switch between the configurations by means of a hand wheel. High machining quality can be achieved due to the full-surface clamping of the components. In addition, less storage space is required.
